Before installation
- Save open documents and check available space. Download size is not the same as the space the installed application will occupy.
- Check the operating system and architecture of the selected file. General product-family requirements may differ from a new build's requirements.
- If the provider publishes a checksum, compare it and review the installer signature using verification instructions.
- Make sure you have an eligible license, subscription or right to use the product for free.
EXE and MSI for Windows
Open the downloaded installer and follow its instructions. The architecture of Office and installed add-ons must be compatible; save settings and documents before replacing an existing installation. Downloads do not include keys or activation.
Online installer
A small downloader retrieves components over the internet. Its size is not the size of the complete application. Completion requires network access, available disk space and, where required by the product, account sign-in.
ISO and IMG
Mount the image using the Mount command in a supported Windows version. Open the virtual drive and the installer inside. Choose the edition and architecture that match your license and system; the image may contain several installers.
ZIP and offline packages
For managed Office deployments, obtain the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft and follow the official configuration guide. Select the correct product, channel, architecture and en-us language. Project and Visio require their own applicable licenses; this catalog does not provide preassembled offline archives.
This catalog does not assemble installation packages. For an eligible managed deployment, obtain the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft and use a configuration for your licensed edition with the required English language selection. Deployment configuration is described in Office Deployment Tool documentation.
MSIX and Windows packages
Open the package with the standard Windows App Installer. Check the minimum OS build and architecture. Consult the application's documentation for additional components, such as WebView2; having a package does not guarantee support for every older Windows release.
PKG and DMG for macOS
For a PKG, run the package and follow the wizard. For a DMG, open the image and follow the installer instructions. Check the macOS version and Intel or Apple Silicon support. If the system blocks the file, do not automatically bypass protection—check the source and signature.
Official Android store installation
A mobile Download button is enabled only when a verified direct installer is available. A store page is not used as a replacement download. Check device compatibility and preserve your data before changing an existing installation; do not disable device protection.
If installation did not complete
Record the exact error message and selected option. Do not send passwords or keys. Start with file verification and the official documentation for the required product.
